Here I have posted two advertising signs for 2 different resturaunts. I found this image online when I was searching for Arby's potatoe bites and could not find a good image. Everyone has seen these signs I am sure. The function of both signs is to grab your attention away from the other resturaunts that are usually surounding them. They both use the color red generously since this color is supossed to make you hungry. While the type used in Arby's is more whimsicle, Wendys goes with a more traditional Font. I think Arby's tried more to imprint their logo in your mind while Wendys wants you to see that they are more "Old fashioned". Arby's has one very simple logo (the hat). Wendys tries a few different identities by presenting both Dave Thomas and the classic red-headed Wendy with pigtails.

What? No potato bites? I'm disappointed.
ReplyDeleteGood job noting the different styles they're going for - now that you mention it, Wendy's really does look old-fashined! Nice!
ReplyDeleteGood insight into the world of fast food signage!
