"Beer is proof that God loves us" Benjamin Franklin

I originally had a few other ideas for this weeks blog, but found this one to to be more fitting.
This is a beer brewing kit from a local store. I believe the function of this packaging is to make the brewing process seem simple and wholesome. I actually ended up buying this kit. I think the colors in the picture really represent the time of year you harvest many of the cereal grains requirred for beer. Im not exactly sure what style this falls under but it is functional. The type in "Brewer's Best" is bold and jumps out at you, while the contents are listed at the bottom in small bulleted format. The wet glasses really make the beer appear refreshing and the grains make it look healthy and wholesome. As I stated earlier what really drew me to this design was this weeks reading which briefly talked about Benjamin Franklin, who is also known for beer brewing.

  1. I'm not much of a drinker, but I really love the contrast in the color of the beers. There's a rich almmost red, and then a paler golden, and a really dark one.

  2. Yeah, my "college" drinking days are pretty much over. These days I like to have a few REALLY good beers instead of ALOT of American "piss beers" which are cheap for one reason... to get you drunk. The "dark one" you were talking about is called a stout... my favorite! A stout is almost a meal in itself haha.

  3. Yeah, I agree with you on the good brew. Sometimes you just gotta throw down on a thirty rack though ya know! This design is straight and to the point which I think is good for the beer drinking/ beer brewing crowd. GO BEER!!!
